At Ganderwood many of our females reside in guardianship homes between breedings.  Once they have clearances at 2 years old, they come back to us for breeding every 12-18 months until they are retired. They stay with us about 6 weeks to nurse puppies when they are born. Then the guardianship dog returns to their host family.  We pay all veterinary costs until the dog is neutered.  We board for free for the life of the dog.

We have a 3 year old yellow female, Ruby, who nursing puppies now. In a few weeks she will be ready for a guardianship home. Ruby is housebroken, obedient, and affectionate. Her hips are OFA excellent, elbows normal. She is EIC and PRA clear by parentage.

We thoroughly interview families and require a reference if we don't already know you. Families must be within easy driving distance of Family Friends Veterinary Hospital in Grand Rapids, MI.
